July/August Observation Scheduling • MUPS anomally: used up ~ all Cycle 11 cold pitch targets, efficient schedule not possible > June 2010 • Mitigation: • Uncompeted GTO targets: ingested into OBSCAT in April • April-May: MP searching Cycle 12 submitted proposals for candidate July/Aug targets (mostly unconstrained/pool) • > Peer Review: MP will check July/Aug targets vs passing and grey-area proposals in review DB • CDO will release to OBSCAT any definitely-to-be-approved targets for immediate USINT review • CDO will release remainder July/Aug targets following release and approval of final target list (~16 July 2010) • IPPS review will be started, as usual, for all non-July/Aug targets • Announcement: in May of possible early observation of targets so that GOs prepared to respond rapidly Chandra Users' Committee, 27 April 2010 Chandra Director’s Office
