  2. CLASSROOM PROCEDURES • Homework is due at the beginning of the period the day after it is assigned. • All work is to be shown on the worksheets or in a spiral notebook. • To be considered complete, students must show ALL math work or explain each answer. • Work must be completed in pencil only and in the proper format. • Problems need to be accurately corrected with all mistakes fixed.

  3. CLASSROOM PROCEDURES • Students will correct all mistakesbefore an assignment is given full credit. • Students will complete a chapter notes handout in class during each lesson. The notes presented in class are also on Google Drive, in case of an absence. • This course covers the Common Core State Standards for 7th grade mathematics.

  4. LATE WORK POLICY • It is the student's responsibility to show the teacher any make-up work for credit and to refer to the class website for notes when absent. • Absent work that is received before the Chapter Test will be given full credit. • Late work that is received before the Chapter Test will be given half credit.

  6. GRADES BASED ON • Quizzes – 1-2 quizzes per chapter • Chapter Tests - If a student does poorly, most chapter tests may be retaken once a review assignment is completed and a permission slip is signed. • Cumulative Exams - Comprehensive tests may be given each trimester.

  7. GRADES BASED ON • Quizzes, Tests and Cumulative Exams will be given during class. Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in a score of zero on the exam or assignment. • Daily Homework - See chapter calendars, parent signature is required before the test if any assignments were late or missing

  9. ONLINE TEXTBOOK • http://bigideasmath.com The online textbook provides access to the Dynamic eBook, Skills Review Handbook, Basic Skills Handbook, Multi-Language Glossary, Game Closet, Graphic Organizers, Math Tool Paper, Real-life Stem Videos, and suggested Apps to download.

  10. GOOGLE CLASSROOM/DRIVE • Students can login to their Google Classroom account to access many resources for our class, including the homework solutions, completed notes packets, blank notes packets, homework calendars, worksheets, retake permission slips, and many other important documents.

  12. SUPPLIES • Plenty of Pencils with Erasers!!! (with replacement lead or pencil sharpener) • Plenty of Red Pens!!! • Scientific Calculator – including square root, but no graphing calculators • Graph Paper

  13. SUPPLIES • Lined Paper – 8½ by 11, college ruled • Spiral Notebooks – 8½ by 11, college ruled, perforated edges • Protractor with inches and metric units • Yellow Highlighter

  14. SUPPLIES • Set of Colored Pencils, Crayons or Markers • Glue stick • Scissors • 3” by 5” Index Cards – to make study cards for extra credit
