Engineering co-op program The Co-operative Education in Engineering Program allows you to experience paid engineering work experience while completing your degree. The Co-op program requires five years compared to the traditional four-year program. With the additional time, you gain 5, four-month work experience terms. During your work terms, you are treated as a full-time employee in a position related to your field of study and will get to work under the supervision of other engineers.
