Preamble The basic understanding of this intercourse is that success is better than failure. Success is a positive result of guided process or an action – guided by purpose and target.
Success begins by determining the end, followed by a design of the destination ( means to the end) Example Natulengejuu-starehe Boys Centre Heaven- Worshippers Gold medal- Athletes
Where does success begins Success begins by building self esteem – how much do you believe in yourself, love yourself and regard yourself? Do you see yourself as worthy and capable Only then can you put your best foot forward. Self esteem breeds confidence. Caution: overconfidence is risky at times. Let us talk about “confidence”.
Self esteem makes us “think big” Self esteem makes us regard ourselves as divinely special- there is no substitute for me. Self esteem makes us positive- yes I can. Self esteem makes us acquire and share knowledge like a garden if it is not cultivated, it cannot be harvested. Once acquired, knowledge should be shared it must never be horded.
How do we approach success “listen ,there is no courage or any extra courage that I know of to find out the right thing to do. Now, it is not only necessary to do the right thing, but to do it in the right way and the only problem you have is what is the right thing to do and what is the right way to do it” Dwight David Eisenhower 1890-1969
Define “ the right” for yourself Chart the “right way” for yourself “ I would have made a good Pope” Richard .M. Nixon. From this quote one would ask “what then happened”
How do we get there? Always act as if it were impossible to fail The world is made up of two kind of people :“the tough minded” and “the tender minded” The tender minded are the ones who are wilt under obstacles and difficulties. The tough minded have the inner power to stand up to a difficulty, to have what it takes to have it. Tough minded are positive and think positively.
Positive thinking is the tough mindedness. • It is refusing to be defeated. It is making the most of what you have to deal with in life. • In essence, never give up, never give in, stand up to it, fight it through. God will aid you
What to do to get there Find yourself i.e. ask, who am I? in the most cases, the answer is you are what your thoughts have made you over a long period of time. You then precondition yourself to a process of transforming your mind and life- start thinking success- think, pray and work.
Success is available to all of us if we will follow the basic principles of positive thinking. You must never conclude that you cannot succeed. No more failure for you Three things to do Try, really try If you want power over your own failure you must try, really try
2. Think, really think Think yourself through any failure. Thinking must be clean positive thinking. Think to knock the T of CAN’T and you remain with CAN
3. Believe, really believe Believe in God and with really humility believe in yourself. Believe that you are going to be victorious.
