  11. Academic History UC transferable courses are pulled from the ASSIST database Calif. community college nontransferable courses can be self-entered.

  12. Biographical Students applying for EOP will be required to provide information on parent education, income and family size in the next steps of the Biographical section.

  13. Activities and Awards • Other categories include Educational Preparation Programs, Work Experience, Awards & Honors, and Extracurricular Activities. • Applicants are limited to five entries for each, so select the ones that are most meaningful.

  15. The Personal Statement • Personal Statement Instructions • Respond to both prompts, using a maximum of 1,000 words total. • Allocate the word count as desired. An applicant may wish to respond to one • prompt at greater length; we suggest the shorter answer be no less than 250 words. • Stay within the word limit as anything over 1,000 will result in an error message. • Only use standard American English characters (the numbers 0 through 9 and the • letters a through z) and symbols (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = [ ] \ { } | ` ~ ; : ' " , < . > / ? ) • found on a standard English keyboard. • Do not compose your essay in the application. The application will time-out after 30 minutes of inactivity, and your work may be lost.

  16. Common Application Hints • If your teachers want to submit their recs online, there is no longer a way to send them a link. • They MUST see Ms. Brock to get a Naviance account.

  17. Common Application Hints • When you enter ranks and GPA: • We are an exact rank school. • Your graduating class has 456 people. • Your cumulative GPA is your 9-12 weighted academic GPA. • Our GPA scale is 4.0. • Please select “weighted.”
