  5. You are cordially invited to attend a drop-in miscellaneous bridal shower honoring Chelsey Woodall, bride-elect of Jody Bramlett, this afternoon from two until three-thirty o'clock, at First Landmark Baptist Church.  (Note:  They are registered at Wal-Mart, Target & McCoy-Tygart.)

  6. AWANA LEADERS A pizza lunch for all Awana leaders will be held today following the morning worship. Awana workers are still needed. Contact Fara Newkirk if you are willing to serve!  Awana will begin on Sunday evening, September 13, from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m.

  7. BIBLE STUDY Beginning tonight the evening services at 6:00 p.m. will feature a presentation of Telling God's Story written by OBU Professors Terry Carter and PrebanVang, which guides us through the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelations. If you are hungry for a greater understanding of God's Word, you won't want to miss this.

  8. MOTHER'S DAY OUT will have an open house on Tuesday night, September 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to begin this year's program.

  9. The Finance Committee will meet in the Conference Room this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

  10. CHOIRS have resumed following the summer break. The Handbell Choir meets at 5:30 each Wed. and the Celebration Choir at 7:15. Kids' Praise will start back on September 9 (see the insert). Join a choir!

  11. CHILDREN'S CHURCH volunteers are needed. Call the church office or see Elizabeth Hale if you can help this year. Literature & supplies will be provided each week. Children's Church will resume next Sunday morning.

  12. YOUTH LIFE GROUPS will resume on Sunday, September 13, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. A free meal will be served from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. and then small groups will meet from 6:00 to 7:00. The groups will focus on living out our faith in today's culture and clearly show how the Bible relates to our world!
