  3. 2019 1st Quarter Finance Update • Operational Reserve fund (3/31/19): $388K • Mortgage fund balance (3/31/19): $146K • Loan Amount Remaining (3/31/19): $1,237,567

  7. Stained Glass Windows • Congregation has opportunity to sponsor stained glass word windows to be installed above large windows in sanctuary • 16 windows available for sponsorship by individuals or groups • Funds will not come from operating budget

Summer Mission Opportunities: YOUTH! • High School Mission Trip • Hurricane Michael Recovery at Panama City, FL • Current 9th - 12th graders • June 8 – June 16 • Cost: $100 • Middle School Mission Trip • Heifer Ranch in Arkansas • Current 6th, 7th, and 8th graders • June 19 – June 22 • Needed – male sponsor • Cost: $100 • SCAMP! • Summer Creative Arts and Music Program • Infant – 5th grade • June 24 – 28 • 8 am – Noon • Cost $25 • Feed our Kids • Aug 5 – 9 • Perfect for Kids to volunteer!

Background • Director of Youth, position vacated on February 2, 2018 • Part-time position posted to PCUSA job boards, then more broadly (Indeed.com) • FPC among several DFW churches posting part-time youth director position • Brianna Riley hired part-time, temporary position • Financial realities and decline in attendance prompt new questions and request for Presbytery assistance February 2018 – February 2019

  15. Questions for Discernment • How do we continue to employ our current full-time staff AND prioritize our youth WITHOUT adding salary costs? • Can we also find ways to infuse new energy and creativity into our current ministries?
