Purpose: • Process improvements for data requests to DSS for research purposes • Current State: • Investigators complete and submit REB application and submit a data request to DSS once REB application approved • Limited coordination between investigators, REB, and DSS • Confusion between what has been approved / what can be provided resulting in • Project delays • Amendments required to receive data • Privacy breaches • Recent introduction of EDW likely to increase this confusion as it organizes, labels and integrates data very differently than the clinical systems • Data Requests for Research
