Significant Safety Achievements- 5/14 • Assisted with the FLEXLAB reconfiguration project in 90XR. • Construction JHA approvals and training • Electrical safety approvals for lighting • “Flexhead” fire sprinkler installation work • Participated in Building 31 JCESR project planning meetings. • Completed EHS0275 and EHS0277 “Confined Space Entry” training. This gives EETD capability for accessing beneath 90XR. • Performed an “old chemical” and “old equipment” clean-out in 70-269. • Assisted with a Lockout/Tagout for subcontractor work in 70-257. A permit was needed and I acted as the RI. • Assisted with the generation of a new AHD for the solvent purifier in 70-269.

  21. Short Term Safety Outlook- 6/14 • Prepare for the annual management safety walkthrough of EETD work areas scheduled for 6/12/14. • Continue to assist with start-up of the new FLEXLAB buildings. • The new “on-line” lab self-inspection form is now ready for roll-out and use by lab area safety leads. • Start the Chemical Management System (CMS) self-assessment project. • Continue participation in the inter-divisional “off-site safety” self-assessment project. • Complete the flame retardant lab coat corrective action. • Prepare a proposed Work Planning and Control (WPC) “projects” and “activities” framework for EETD. • Address the European electrical appliance approval issue in the B31 test chamber.
