  1. What is a Democrat? What is a Republican?

  2. What, if anything, is a Republican? A rich, greedy, egotistical individual, motivated only by money and the desire to accumulate more and more of it, at the expense of the environment and the working poor, all whom they exploit.

  3. What, if anything, is a Republican? An individual who believes that the white male Christian God should be the only object of worship on the planet. That power and wealth should remain in the hands of 1% of the world's population while the remaining 99% starve. That health care should be privatized so the poor can't afford basic medication. That a rape victim living on welfare should be forced to care for a baby she didn't even ask for. That America is the only real country on Earth while all those other countries they read about are just fakes invented by communists and terrorists.

  4. What, if anything, is a Republican? Republicans have a strong belief in personal responsibility, limited government, and corporate entrepreneurship. In his 1981 inaugural address, Republican President Ronald Reagan summed up his belief in limited government when he said, "In the present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.“

  5. What, if anything, is a Republican? Since 1980, the GOP has contained what author George Will calls "unresolved tensions between, two flavors of conservatism -- Western and Southern." The Western brand, says Will, "is largely libertarian, holding that pruning big government will allow civil society -- and virtues nourished by it and by the responsibilities of freedom -- to flourish." The Southern variety, however, reflects a religiosity based in evangelical and fundamentalist churches that is less concerned with economics and more with moralistic issues, such as abortion and homosexuality.

  6. What, if anything, is a Democrat? One of two political parties in The United States of America whose members believe that their collective ideas are 100% correct and all citizens who do not agree are complete, uneducated morons.

  7. What, if anything, is a Democrat? A political party for people whose ideas are spoon-fed to them by The Washington Post and CNN.

  8. What, if anything, is a Democrat? The Democratic Vision The Democratic Party is committed to keeping our nation safe and expanding opportunity for every American. That commitment is reflected in an agenda that emphasizes the security of our nation, strong economic growth, affordable health care for all Americans, retirement security, honest government, and civil rights.

  9. What, if anything, is a Liberal? A person who believes it is the duty of government to ameliorate social conditions and create a more equitable society. Liberals favor generous spending on the welfare state; they exhibit a concern for minorities, the poor, and the disadvantaged and often see these conditions as a product of social injustices rather than individual failings. Liberals also tend to be concerned about environmental issues, the defense of civil liberties, and do not favor excessive military spending.

  10. What, if anything, is a Conservative? One who espouses a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change. One who believes in less government being better government. One who believes in civil liberties: freedom of speech, separation of church and state, the right to keep and bear arms.
