  2. Chapter Title CHAPTER 3 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

  3. Research Methodology This part of the study includes Project Design, Project Development and Operation, Testing and Evaluation Procedures.

  4. Project Design • Project Design shows a rough sketch or an overall view of the entire research project. • This shows the project prototype represented in diagrams such as Flowcharts, Context, Block and/or Schematic diagrams. • This part briefly introduces the use/s of the research project in general.

  5. Project Development • This section covers the specific procedure of the actual research project development. • Researchers can select one from many standardized and widely acceptable Software Engineering processes or Engineering fabrication procedures. • This also presents specific methods and the set of activities with the required parameters and expected outputs. • Some activities and methods may be presented in diagrams such as detailed Flowcharts, Data Flow, Schematic or Block diagrams.

  6. Operation, Testing and Evaluation Procedures • Operation and Testing Procedures list the steps to follow on how to operate and test the project. • Evaluation Procedure identifies how the project will be evaluated and how evaluation will be conducted. • Once the method for evaluation is known, the appropriate evaluation tool should be recognized and discussed.

  7. Operation, Testing and Evaluation Procedures • The stakeholders of the project are usually the evaluators and this part sets the number of evaluators that will determine the acceptability of the research project. • Statistical treatment and analysis and interpretation of data and expected results are presented and discussed also in this part of the study.
