The Problem • Sender: Gap on how to link multiple transactions and documents to support the order process • Receiver: Difficulty in linking and matching documents involved in the order process • Responder: Difficulty in matching the response to the documents involved in the order process • Functional use case not addressed by XDW profile • The differences between this profile and XDW • This profile does not track message statuses • This profile is a content profile • This profile can be applied to other document templates to support functional workflow

  3. Use Case • Patient is discharged from the hospital to home health services. After the discharge summary/orders are sent, the hospital may need to amend the original information. • Home health provider collaborates with provider of record (e.g. PCP). After the initial assessment and orders are sent, the home health provider and PCP may need to amend the original information and/or provide additional information. • The PCP and Home Health agency may also need to exchange additional (order specific) correspondence
