Cell Ranges • Cell Ranges can be • Single cell A1 • Group of cells containing rows A1:C1 • Group of cells containing columns A1:A5 • Group of cells containing rows and columns A1:C5 • Entire spreadsheet • Click to a single cell as the range • Click and drag to select a group of cells as the range Microsoft Excel

Copy Command • Use the copy command to duplicate contents • Cells to copy are called source range • Cells to copy to are called the destination range • Different ways to copy include • Edit copy and Edit Paste commands • Autofill handle + • Edit fill command • Drag-and-Drop using CTRL • Uses the clipboard to hold copied information Microsoft Excel

Relative, Absolute, and Mixed Cells • Relative cells adjust to row and column copy locations (default) • Absolute Cell reference maintains a given cell or constant when copying • Indicated with a $ in front of row and column $C$5 • Mixed cells uses a $ in front of row or column for copying $A5 or A$6 Microsoft Excel
