  3. Arrangements from school to Manchester Airport We will be leaving school at 4:00am on Friday 15th February. We are meeting on the Sports Hall Car Park between 3:15am and 3:30am. Please arrive on time so that we can depart promptly at 4:00am.

  4. In-flight service • Complimentary video and audio on all flights • Seat back video screens on all international three-cabin 767 and 777 aircraft • Pillows and blankets • Complimentary meal service • Complimentary soft drinks, juices, tea and freshly brewed coffee

  5. Luggage Allowance 1 checked-in bag: 23kgs 1 carry-on bag 8kgs (23cm x 40cm x 55cm) 1 small personal item (handbag, backpack) (22cm x 25cm x 43cm) STRICTLY NO LIQUIDS/AEROSOLS OF GELS IN HAND LUGGAGE UNLESS EACH CONTAINER IS LESS THAN 100ML.* *must to be in a clear plastic zip-top bag

  6. Packing List • Casual clothing (jeans, t-shirts, tops joggers etc) • Change of clothes for the evenings • Lightweight coat/waterproof jacket • Sleepwear, socks and underwear • 2 pairs of comfortable closed-toe shoes (trainers are ideal). There will be lots of walking! • Toiletries

  7. Packing List • Sun cream, sun hat/cap, sun glasses (fingers crossed for hot weather!) • Lightweight day bag (ruck sack) • Refillable water bottle • Optional: Beach towel and swimwear - one-piece for girls • - swim shorts for boys • Bath towels are provided by the hotel

  8. Electrical Items • If pupils are taking electrical equipment (eg. hair straighteners) please check that it will work in the USA. Some devices are not compatible due to a different voltage. • USA plug adaptor(s)

  9. Mobile Phones • Phone Charger • Please ensure data roaming is SWITCHED OFF prior to departure. Data charges are very expensive! • Please check with your phone provider about charges for calls and texts.

  10. Valuables • Pupils will be responsible for all valuable items they take on the trip (so keep them to a minimum) • Passports will be collected in and kept in the hotel safe for the duration of our stay

  11. Meals • Breakfast is included at the hotel and will usually be a continental or hot buffet. • Dinner will be at a selection of local American restaurants (no repeat visits)

  12. Spending Money • Lunches (approximately $20 per day) • Souvenirs, gifts and shopping • Food and drink at Manchester airport before departure (or bring a packed lunch) • Food and drink at Orlando airport (return journey) • It is your decision how much money you send your child with but please remember that he/she will be responsible for it during the trip.

  13. Safety We are there to have a good time! • Pupils will be in groups of 3 or more during unsupervised times • Seat belts MUST be worn at all times • Instructions from Mrs Osborne, Mr Larvan, Christina (tour manager) and other staff must be followed. • Drink plenty of water.

  14. Hotel Rooms We are there to have a good time! • Pupils have chosen their roommates. • Rooms must be kept (reasonably) tidy and at the end of the stay left in a neat and tidy state. (We will be monitoring and inspecting rooms regularly!) • All pupils should be in their rooms by 10:30pm and get a good night’s sleep.

  15. Hotel Rooms We are there to have a good time! • Pupils will not disturb other guests in the hotel. • Pupils must not, under any circumstances, leave the hotel without a member of staff.

  16. Supporting Each Other We are there to have a good time! • There will be times when you miss your mum’s cooking or get frustrated with your friend’s snoring! Act responsibly and stay positive.  • Support and respect each other, the staff and the locals. • Don’t litter! Be respectful and remember your manners at all times. 

  20. Arrangements from Manchester Airport to school We will be leaving the airport at approximately 2:30pm (hopefully the luggage will be out quickly). We will arrive back at school at approximately 4:30pm (depending on traffic conditions). Your child will keep you updated by text message. Please meet your child on the Sports Hall Car Park.
