  9. Day 2: Taste • Song about senses of taste • Discuss mouth and four types of taste • Sample lemonade/ sour, candy/ sweet, potato chips/ salty, and unsweetened chocolate/ bitter • Read Taste by Maria Rius • Review handout for parents

  15. Required Learner Participation • Regular schedule throughout unit plan • Short, fun activities • Children participate in group activities • Games and materials left out at a center for children to explore throughout the day on their own
