Ecclesiastes 12:1-3: 1 Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”; 2 before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars are darkened and the clouds return after the rain, 3 in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men are bent, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those who look through the windows are dimmed….” Ecclesiastes 12:1-8: The Preacher’s closing remarks

Ecclesiastes 12:6-7: [Remember your Creator] 6 before the silver cord is snapped, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern, 7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. A reversal of Genesis 2:7: 7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we have the hope of resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:22-23: 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Christ’s resurrection restores meaning to life

  7. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, creation itself will be renewed. Romans 8:20-22: 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth untilnow.  Christ’s resurrection restores meaning to life

  8. Christians as well as non-believing skeptics can struggle to believe in Jesus’ past resurrection or Christian resurrection in the future. Can we really believe in resurrection?

  9. There are historical reasons to believe in Jesus’ resurrection. Can we really believe in resurrection?

  10. There are more current signposts that help us believe in God’s miraculous power, which can help us trust in resurrection. Can we really believe in resurrection?
