Affirmative tú commands • Used to tell someone to do something • Tú commands – used for friends, family • Same as él, ella forms in the present • When used with a direct object pronoun, attach the pronoun to the end of the command and add an accent to commands that have two or more syllables to keep the original stress

  9. AR, ER and IR affirmative tú commands • AR verb – Comprar • ¡Compra el vestido! Buy the shirt! • ¡Cómpralo! Buy it! • ER verb – Beber • ¡Bebe la leche! Drink the milk! • ¡Bébela! Drink it! • IR verb – Servir • ¡Sirve los refrescos! Serve the drinks! • ¡Sírvelos! Serve them!

  10. Irregular affirmative tú commands • Decir – di • Hacer – haz • Ir – ve • Poner – pon • Salir – sal • Ser – sé • Tener – ten • Venir – ven

  11. Acabar de + infinitive • Acabar de = to have just • When you want to express something that just happened, use the conjugated form of the verb acabar de + the infinitive of the action that was just completed. • I just washed the dishes. • Acabo de lavar los platos.
