  5. GET INVOLVED!!! • Find a way to connect to Ponderosa! Become a part of one of our many student organizations and/or athletic teams. • There are multiple advantages to this, including: • They’re FUN! • You’ll make new friends with similar interests. • You’ll learn how to manage your time better, which usually helps your grades. • It looks REALLY GOOD to colleges!

  9. AP Courses • If you are considering taking any AP courses next year, you must print off the “AP Contract” found in the Course Guide on page 67. • Because AP courses require a huge commitment on your part, you are required to read and sign the contract. You must have a parent sign the contract as well. • Turn the signed contracts into Mrs. Gress in the Counseling office.

  19. No Schedule Changes!

  20. SO…please select your classesVERY CAREFULLY!!! • Due to district and building budget constraints, our class sizes will be very full next year. We will not have the ability to accommodate schedule changes as we have done in the past. Therefore, it is imperative that you select classes that you know you can live with because if you change your mind, we won’t be able to move you to another class. • The ONLY schedule changes we will be able to make next year will be corrections if you were placed in the wrong level of a course or are missing something you need to graduate.

  21. Don’t Forget… • When you register for your year long classes, you have to enter in the course numbers for bothsemesters. • Make sure you select BOTH S1 and S2. • For example: • English I: • 50300S1 AND 50300S2 • Algebra II w/ Trig: • 60590S1 AND 60590S2
