  10. Technical Field Information Technology (IT) has become an integral part of modern life. Computing technology is part of just about everything that touches our lives.

Although, employers often prefer a graduate degree, especially an MBA with technology as a core component. Also, a few years of experience are essential in securing a job in this industry. • Responsibilities • Plan, coordinate, and direct research on the computer-related activities of firms. • Earnings • $40 – 80,000+

Business Field • How do MIS and Business fit together? • MIS graduates are responsible for integrating business and computing (focus on the organization). • Involves the analysis, design, and application of information systems to help organizations become more efficient. • Work with the end user of the program to make sure everything is integrated properly (Not necessarily writing the programs, but have the knowledge to apply the technology within the organization).
