Wireless World Founded in 1997 Wireless World is the largest Verizon Wireless Premier Retailer in the Great Plains Region with 28 stores in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin In 1999, CommNet Cellular sold to AirTouch Cellular who merged with PrimeCo and Bell Atlantic to form Verizon Wireless

IT System “Retail IQ4” Point of Sale Information Technology System Uses the internet to create a network of all employees and products so that they can be monitored and distributed Capability to create databases of information such as: receipts, inventory, employee information, revenues, profits, sales 1 of only 2 options for point of sales system in the cell phone industry Advertises their products in Wireless Weekly Magazine and Trade Journals Came into contact with Wireless World at the Las Vegas Trade Show, where the product was ultimately purchased

Retail IQ4 Inputs- Inventory is received and immediately added into the “Retail IQ4” system Processes- Tracks inventory Runs reports for commissions and payrolls Outputs- When a sale is made the item is removed from inventory IMPORTANCE- Manages Inventory Used for clocking in and out for employees Runs reports to help analyze and process commissions, payrolls and trends
  4. Problem No customer history on computer system Tough to build a relationship with the customer without personal information and purchase history Unable to reach out and advertise to a specific customer without this information
  5. Solution Create a program linked with “Retail IQ4” that would keep customer information such as name, address, phone numbers, email address, birth date, and family information This would allow us to send birthday cards, thank you letters, alerts on specials and sales, reminders for payments or plan information etc. Mostly, improve the relationship with customers, making every trip into the store a more personal experience
