  3. Probationary 1 Teacher Non Re-elect • May 1, 2009 – deadline to submit the signed, “submitted” BSS with attachments to your Staff Relations Field Director

  4. 3. Provisional Evaluations • Less than Satisfactory Evaluation (1022) – notify your Personnel Specialist by the end of April

  5. 4. Creation and Posting of the Matrix • Approx. 4 weeks prior to the day teachers finish service for the school year • Matrix process may be delayed for Spring 2009 due to budget uncertainties

  6. 5. Dispute Resolution • Dispute Resolution Procedure includes: • Coordinator elections • Dean elections • Five-year out-of-classroom rule

  7. 6. Vacation for A-Basis Staff • By April 15 – employees shall respond to the administrator with requested vacation dates

  8. 7. Comp Time Not Allowed • Classified Employees - all time worked

  9. Closing of Classroom Aide (Unit B) Positions • Alert the Employee Transactions Service Branch (ETSB) [Classified] as soon as possible

  10. 9. Lay-off of Teacher Assistant Positions • Done at the school site • Driven by seniority and number of college units completed • New BTS report (HR085 TA Seniority) available • Call Lorita Johnson for assistance

  11. 10. Classified Staff Performance Evaluation • Paraprofessionals are formally supervised and evaluated by an administrator, not teachers.
