  4. Regular verbs: if a verb is regular, the past simple and past participle end in -ed. For example:

  5. clean: cleaned. finish: finished use: used paint: painted stop: stopped carry: carried

  6. Irregular verbs: if a verb is irregular the past simple and past participle do not end in -ed. For example:

  7. be: was/ were- been hit: hit- hit tell: told- told wake: woke- woken say: said- said

  8. To sum up:

  9. REGULAR AND IRREGULAR VERBS • Irregular verbs: past and participle do not end in -ed. • Example: bought. • Regular verbs: past and participle end in -ed. • Example: finished.
