  6. Preview on NOOK and NOOK Color. I uploaded a .docx Some minor tweaking might be needed, but overall the formatting held up.

  7. I created a cover in Microsoft Publisher and saved it as a JPG. Steps 4 & 5 are an opportunity to provide more information about your book including target audience, subject categories, keywords, editorial reviews and a description. It typically takes 24 to 72 hours for your book to go on sale after clicking “Put On Sale.”

  8. ISBN • You can upload a 13-digit ISBN that you purchased specifically for your Nook Book. • If you do not an ISBN, B&N will assign an internal 13-digit code. • If you have an ISBN tied to a print edition, you cannot reuse it for your Nook Book. • DRM (Digital Rights Management) • DRM is a technology that is intended to prevent unauthorized downloading of your eBook. You can choose to have DRM or not in Step 4. You cannot change your DRM setting after you place your book on sale. A few things…

  9. You will be paid via an Electronic Funds Transfer 60 days after the close of the calendar month in which the sales occurred; you must have a minimum of $10 in royalties.
