About a 3.9 GPA is required to get accepted. • Other medical schools include Harvard Medical School, San Francisco School of Medicine, and University of Washington, School of Medicine.

  5. Salary • The average salary range for an orthopedic surgeon is $535,668. • The salary ranges from $450,000-$550,000.

  7. Famous Orthopedic Surgeon Scott Cowell • Scott Powell is the co-founder of Stetson Powell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. • He was a member of a music band in the 1980s. • Powell later became orthopedic surgeon in sports medicine.

  8. My Reaction • I don’t want to be an orthopedic surgeon anymore. • It takes too long to become an orthopedic surgeon for me.
