  1. How Whey Protein Works on Health Whey protein and casein are two proteins you get from milk. Whey protein is really popular since it is easily absorbed by the body. It is also available in different flavours and types. Since there are plenty of fake products in the market, always buy a known company product that has been tested for purity and quality. Whey protein is of three types – concentrate, isolate and hydrolysate. Always prefer isolate and hydrolysate since they have a high protein content (90% or more). When buying a protein supplement, check the following things: Protein Content: Check for the amount of protein per scoop as well as per gram. This will give you an idea about the quality. Also, example you are buying a whey protein supplement, know the difference between the types. Isolate has more protein content than concentrate and is more expensive. Additives: Some common additives are artificial colors, artificial flavours, artificial sweeteners (Erythritol, Acesulfame Potassium, Saccarin, Aspartame, Sucralose, etc.), Gums & Thickeners, Vegetable Oils & Fats, etc. Ingredients: Check for additives in the product. Some brands add chemicals like artificial sweeteners, colors, flavours, emulsifiers, thickeners, preservatives, etc. that are not good for health. Avoid high additive products. The protein you select should suit your body. If you are lactose intolerant, then don’t select whey protein or casein. If you are allergic to soy, then avoid products having it. It is all about making the right choice for ourselves. I suggest you talk to a professional regarding the right supplement for you and the amount of supplement you need. Selecting the best protein powder for health is easy if you compare products carefully, on a site like Wikisheets.
