  1. Highways This feature enables users to represent multiple conductors with a single “highway”, conductors can added into and pulled out of the highway. Cross referencing enables users to trace a highways throughout a design or project (using Shared Highways in CHS). Aerospace A common usage of highways is within aerospace applications, where conductors belonging to a cable are grouped together and routed together, then as the highway approaches the destination device the conductors re-appear ready for termination. Device Cabling Where many device are interconnected through cabling, representation of each conductor and its path can clutter a diagram. Highways make designs easier to read with more white space. Navigate connectivity using highway cross referencing

  2. Highways This feature enables users to represent multiple conductors with a single “highway”, conductors can added into and pulled out of the highway. Cross referencing enables users to trace a highways throughout a design or project (using Shared Highways in CHS). 1 2 3 Cross Referencing is possible because Highways behave like design wide objects Defining a Highway style can be done in the CHS design tools or within Capital Project Creating a Highway; use icon, Add > Highway or hotkey H. Add a conductor to a highway with a double click action 5 A 4 Shared Highways containing shared, or unshared conductors Nets-to-Wires Highlighting of highways during background simulation is not currently possible.

  3. Highway Collapse/Expand • Capital Logic 2009.1 introduced Highways as a new method of representing multiple conductors as a single graphical line. This feature extends the functionality with new actions to automatically route conductors into or out-of a selected highway. This feature also introduces an unshare action for highway objects. • Automating Manual Tasks • Providing users with functions that allow them to easily utilize highways within designs reducing the time required to complete their task. • Diagram Standards • Converting existing designs to match the diagram standards required by certain industries is made much easier with the “Route into” action. Simply route existing conductors into a new highway path. A Route into Highway Conductors are routed into a highway Action to “Route into Highway” available if highway plus conductors have been selected

  4. Highway Collapse/Expand Unroute Highway Unshare Highway B C Capital Logic 2009.1 introduced Highways as a new method of representing multiple conductors as a single graphical line. This feature extends the functionality with new actions to automatically route conductors into or out-of a selected highway. This feature also introduces an unshare action for highway objects. Unrouted conductor(s) follows path of highway, if needed highway will be automatically deleted Action available on a single conductor or entire highway Unshare of highway matches existing behavior of conductors
