  1. Topic #1 Measuring a Diamond

  2. After starting, DiaVision immediately displays a live image of the diamond on the machine stage.

  3. Now is the time to choose the diamond shape you want to measure, by opening the Shape Selector from the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

  4. In the Shape Selector, select a shape family from the left (e.g. Round) and then a family member from the right. As soon as you’ve selected the shape, DiaVision begins measuring the diamond.

  5. When measuring is complete, typically a 12 second process, your view or report of choice is displayed. In this case, the AGS view is displayed.

  6. The AGS view contains detailed measurements, cut grading and symmetry grading for the measured diamond. In this case, the total cut grade for this diamond is AGS 3.

  7. This view may be printed as a report to give to your client, or you may choose a report based on a different cut grading system, such as IGI, EGL, or HRD.
