  5. ATMA ACTIVITIES Chittoor Agreement with 3 private organizations for Buy-Back arrangements for poultry feed (maize) and mango. Rural Patna Developed partnership with 13 private organizations for medicinal and aromatic plants, essential oils, basmati rice, fish and dry mushrooms, oyster mushroom, baby corn. Jallandhar Partnership with 5 leading private organizations for marketing and processing of vegetables, spices, basmati rice, mentha oil and aromatic plants. Gurdaspur Partnership with Pepsi Foods, Hindustan Lever, Punjab Agro, Rallis and Markfed for marketing and processing. Amravati Partnership with DHARAMITRA, Wardha for organic certification PUBLIC-PRIVATE-PARTNERSHIP – Marketing–Buy Back Arrangements

  6. ATMA ACTIVITIES Amravati Vasundhra Agro-tech for supply of bio-agents, Netefin Irrigation Ltd. for high-tech vegetable cultivation. Ahmednagar 6 private companies for supply of seeds. Jallandhar Contract farming arrangements with Pepsi Foods, Hindustan Lever Gurdaspur Contract farming arrangements with Pepsi Foods, Hindustan Lever Koraput Link with Koraput Farmers Association for supply of Seeds, Vermiculture and Bee-hives. PUBLIC-PRIVATE-PARTNERSHIP – Marketing– Contract Farming/Supply of Inputs

  7. ATMA ACTIVITIES Prakasham Made arrangements with retired Agriculture Officers for training and capacity building of Farmers Groups. Amravati Partnership with Agripreneurs for organic farming awareness. Madhubani Agreement with Drishti for setting up Info-Kiosks at block level. PUBLIC-PRIVATE-PARTNERSHIP – Entrepreneurship development

  8. ATMA ACTIVITIES Prakasham Partnership with 3 private organizations/ individuals for capacity building of farmers. Adilabad Awareness and interaction programme on BT cotton and organic farming in partnership with Monsanto and Bhartiya Kisan Sangh. Ratnagiri Enrolled 32 private extension service providers, involved 3 of them in capacity building. Muzaffarpur Tied up with Monsanto and Kribhco Munger Involved BAIF in technology dissemination Shimla Involved input dealers in technology transfer Aurangabad Associated 3 NGOs in the areas of Watershed Development, Vermi-composting, IPM, Dairying, etc. Ahmednagar Associated Kirti Livestocks Pvt. Ltd. Khurda Involved NGOs for training SHGs and Federations. PUBLIC-PRIVATE-PARTNERSHIP – Training & Field Programmes

  11. STATE EXTENSION WORK PLAN (SEWP) • Annual proposal of extension strategies, activities and investments as per norms of PFAE. • Based on needs identified in SREP • Details other schemes of the Centre / State Governments • Consolidates District Plans etc. • Encourages prioritization

  12. FUND FLOW MECHANISM • Total Rs 226.07 crore • Central and State – 90 : 10 • 10% includes beneficiary / private contribution • Distribution: • 77% for Districts • 10.25% for States • 12.22% for innovative activities

ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY THE STATES • Details of Scheme being sent • Designate a Nodal Officer at the State level • Identification of Nodal HRD Institution- SAMETI. • Identification of districts for coverage • Participation in State/ District level Orientation workshops to be organized by DAC / MANAGE • Preparation of a draft of ‘ATMA–like–model’ in the context of PFAE and the State’s own initiatives towards reforming its extension system • Constitution of SREP Core Team.

PUBLIC-PRIVATE-PARTNERSHIP (PPP) • PPP has emerged as one of the crucial areas in agricultural extension and marketing. • PPP in various modes/ forms can provide synergistic approach in the extension efforts. • DAC has constituted a Committee on PPP • Action plan being developed to operationalize the PPP issues at cutting edge level. • Draft action plan will be shared with the states and private sector shortly. • Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Bihar & Haryana to conduct State level interface on PP

  15. AGRI-CLINICS • District level Task Force • Monitor in SLBC / DLC • Support Agri- Entrepreneurs • Input dealership • Implementation of extension activities • Provide feedback to DAC
