10. Hollywood Area Detective receives information from an informant source that a local merchant is selling illegal weapons out of his store.
CIS conducts several undercover operations to acquire illegal high caliber assault weapons.
Arrested foreign national for 122.80 A(1) PC Transportation of an assault weapon; and 550 PC -Insurance fraud; and a recovery of a large cache of weapons.
Development o f packaged informant
Hollywood Area Detective receives information from an informant source that a local merchant is selling illegal weapons out of his store.

11. Thumb drive found in article of clothing at a local cleaners
Employee decided to see what was on the thumb drive. It contained photos of the Burbank Airport of security areas, check points, gates, etc. The photos did not have aesthetic value and some seemed to be taken at waist level.
He called police to report. They view the thumb drive. Investigation reveals that Burbank Airport Security had done their own red-teaming. Realized they had lost the thumb drive. Were glad to get it back.
Success because the cleaners employee had the initiative to make the call and report the SAR. Thumb drive found in article of clothing at a local cleaners
