(2) 3 different types of grants Project grants: call forproposals – projects / actions that are in the interest of the European policy Operating grants: Operating costsfor a European structure Tenders: call for tenders issuedby the European Commissionfor services, research, … + Projects via the European Parliament

(3) Different types of EU programmes Structural Funds – cohesian policy: decreasesocio-economicdifferencesbetween European regions (ESF, EFRD, Interreg, …) Managedby member statesand/orregions European programmes – mixed centralized / decentralized(Erasmus forAll, …) Some of the actions are managedby the member states, othersby the European Commission Community Programmes– Thematicprogrammes (EaSI …) managedby the European Commission or byan executive agency of the European Commission
