  2. Youth ‘N Action Statewide youth advocacy program that exists to empower at-risk youth aged 14−24 to bring youth voice to the System of Care and public policy to make positive differences in their lives,communities, and systems that serve them

  3. Five Core Functions of YNA Youth Leadership • Provide youth with opportunities to give more and become more in their community Technical Assistance and Outreach • Assist communities in developing youth driven programming within their system of care and establishing youth partnerships Advocacy • Promote youth voice within the system of care and public policy

  4. Five Core Functions of YNA Peer Support • YNA lead the development of the first Medicaid-reimbursable peer counseling training for youth and families in Washington State Accountability and Sustainability • YNA youth evaluators are currently interviewing youth, family, and system partners statewide to assess the implementation of the System of Care approach statewide

Youth and Family Enagagement SAT-ED Year 1 Project Consultation with the two primary community-based provider sites in Port Angeles and Aberdeen, WA • Assist in the development of strategies to increase youth and family engagement in policy, planning, and service delivery for the SAT-ED project. • Learn communities strengths, challenges, and opportunities with youth involvement. • Identify, review, and develop of peer support models and programs.

Youth and Family Engagement SAT-ED Year 1 Project Two Youth Voice and Leadership Development Trainings • Provided by National SOC consultant LorrinGhering and Youth ‘N Action youth leaders System feedback consultation groups with youth participants in the SAT-ED communities • Opportunity to use skills learned in training and provide feedback to the system on how to move forward with youth involvement in their Recovery-Oriented System of Care

  7. Combined Efforts System of Care and SAT-ED • Youth ‘N Action members to conduct System of Care Surveys in the SAT-ED communities using SOC Expansion Rating Tool • Regional Family Youth System Partners Roundtables (FYSPRTs) • Youth Recovery Events, Digital Story Telling

  8. What Is the Family Youth System Partner Roundtable (FYSPRT) Model? The FYSPRT Model creates a platform for family, youth, and system partnership. It is also a valuable tool for creating a sustainable platform for family/youth voice, which can bring value on multiple levels. The FYSPRT model is based on the following values… • Respect • Equity

Family Youth System Partner Roundtables - FYSPRT • System of Care governance structure that includes families youth and system partners in the WA State System of Care • Youth and family members are key participants • Provide feedback and information dissemination to the system at a local, regional, and statewide level • Focus is on youth and family services • The purpose is to promote comprehensive, integrated services for youth that are youth and family driven
