  2. INTRODUCTION • Mi topic is about smoking I decide to talk about this because I think is one of the biggest problems that own society have. • This is very important because is one of the first causes of cancer in the world. • In my presentation you go to see some reason how to stop to smoke.

  3. TOBACCOTobacco, mostly cigarette smoking, kills more than 440,000 people a year, making it more lethal than AIDS, automobiles accidents, homicides, suicides, drug overdoses, and fires combined. Indeed, one in every five death is attributable to smoking.

TOBACCO Cigarette smoke contains over 3,000 chemicals: Most of them rather nasty such as: • NICOTINE: insecticide and used in cockroach and other insect killing products • FORMALDEHYDE: used as a fluid to embalm dead bodies • HYDROGEN CYANIDE: rat poison • ACETONE: dissolve certain substances and commonly found in nail polish removes • HYDRAZINE: used in rocket fuel

  6. THE EFFECTS OF MATERNAL SMOKING ON FERTILITY, PREGNANCY, AND CHILDREN. • Great risk for infertility. • Earlier menopause. • Greater risk for ectopic pregnancy. • Effects on Unborn child. • Prematurity • Low birth weight • Obesity and diabetes.

  7. What about passive or secondhand smoke? The exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke may increase the risk of lung cancer in the nonsmoker by about 25% and 30% increase in the risk of heart disease.
