  1. What Is A Pathology Test?

  2. Pathology is the scientific natural science of illnesses as well as how to help stop them. Pathology tests are branch of medicine that use specimens of body cells and bodily fluids to help diagnose the source and nature of diseases. The results of these pathology tests assist doctors in diagnosing diseases and providing appropriate treatments. Pathology exams are an important part of our lives and are necessary for our health. There are large number of pathology tests available. In this day and age, no treatment is administered without first completing the required pathology lab tests. On the one side, simple pathology tests such as blood tests are performed as part of a routine check-up to ensure that the body is functioning normally. Below are the most prevalent botany Pathology tests that become an essential part of our well-being. The Complete Blood Count (CBC) determines the number of blood cells: • Liver Function Tests (LFT) are a group of tests that look at various liver function as well as other things generated or removed from the body by the liver to see if it's working properly. • Thyroid Function Test determines whether a person's thyroid function is abnormal. • The Mantoux Test is used to determine whether or not a patient has Tuberculosis (TB). • Sputum and urine tests are performed to look for changes in bodily secretions.

  3. The following are the top four reasons why you need a pathology test • Identifying potential health risks Pathology tests can also help predict disease risk in the future, which is useful for developing early intervention or prevention strategies. Diagnostic tests facilitate this process by detailing a baseline measurement for future reference, such as a red blood cell count to record anaemia levels; anticipating if a disease has a high risk of developing, such as tracking the risk of cardiovascular disease in people who are obese; and providing information about the risk of developing a specific inherited disease, including such diabetes, through genetic analysis of people with a high-risk profile. • Disease detection Screening is a structured and coordinated public health technique to reduce the occurrence of disease-related death and sickness. The goal of screening is to detect an illness in its early stages so that it can be cured or avoided before the individual is indeed aware that have it, and before it progresses to a more serious condition. Pap smears, for example, are used to check women for ovarian cancer. 3.Identifying the correct disease Diagnosis of a particular disease is not always simple. Some disorders have symptoms similar and require diagnostic tests to assess the amount of testosterone or other chemical concentrations in the blood. In such circumstances, your doctor will order simple laboratory tests to determine the specific condition and suggest appropriate treatment.

  4. 4.Keeping track of an illness or therapy Pathology tests may be done to control and maintain the progression of a disorder and to predict how it will proceed (prognosis). As an example, blood testing can be used to track the progression of thyroid disease.Pathology tests can also be used to track the success of an illness or condition's therapy, such as measuring the average quantity of sugar in the blood over several months to track diabetic management.
