  1. ETP Target Codes Assigning the correct Target Codes, and KAMES system entry.

Target Codes Assign Target Code 9 to those who are: • Exempt from ABAWD requirements • Compliant with work requirements Assign Target Code 4 to all other ABAWDs who are not Exempt and not already Compliant with ABAWD work requirements. No Target Code is needed if the individual is exempt Work Registration.

  3. Target Codes on KAMES • Remember this screen? • This is where you enter either a 4 or 9. • The system will not allow an incorrect entry, based on how you answered the ABAWD questions.

  4. Target Code 4 ABAWDs • Code 4 passes a referral to the ETP worker in active ETP/ABAWD counties, so they can comply with work requirements. • ETP is the Employment and Training Program, and is handled differently in every county, depending on office needs.
