  4. Integers Addition • We take Red as one +ve unit and Green as one –ve unit • Take an eg say • add -2 and +4 • (taking 2 –ve units) • (taking 4 +ve units) • (Result is 2 +ve units) + +e +e +e +e +e =0 +e +e Home

  6. Integers Addition contd. • Take another Eg say • add -3 and -2 • -3 • -2 • Result is 5 –ve units Home

  7. Subtraction • Subtract -3 from -2 • We get • Result is + + + + home

  8. Subtraction contd. • Subtract -1 from 3 • Then we get • The result is +4 + + + + + + + Home
