Why is BRANDING important? Unique Vision • VIP Branding, powered by Varsity Brands, was founded with one concept in mind: bring professional design and products to school campuses. School Spirit • We help you create a visual environment that generates excitement, promotes student engagement and boosts school spirit. Student Involvement • Our research has shown that strong school branding increases student participation in academics and extracurricular. Community Involvement • Helping schools ignite excitement through brand creation or product placement generates exposure and increases support.
Problem: Identity CrisisIf your school uses multiple variations of your mascot, it is nearly impossible to establish a unique identity for your school. An age old issue that plagues schools nationwide is the lack of brand consistency. For example, the football coach uses one logo, the band director uses another and student government uses yet another.
ALT RECOMMENDATION • District needs to go through a thorough “Branding” process • No consistency • Would help build more school spirit • Could help build more “Tiger Pride”, which could help in other areas of our district • Set Marshall Public Schools apart from other districts that use the current clip art tiger head logo
NEXT STEPS • Finalize the Logo • VIP will then build out our secondary marks (“M”, paw print, placement options) • Approve a font/color pallet • Board adoption • Roll it out
