  1. TitaniumPerformance Update 2 5/8/09 Dot Hill Confidential

  2. Titanium Performance Update May 2009 Latest Titanium T100 numbers using the production target 6Gb hardware architecture (SAS2008 rev B1). Dot Hill Confidential (Restricted Access)

  3. Titanium Sequential Performance • Titanium is lower than Mercury on small block disk accessed reads (SC processor limited) • Titanium catches up and out-performs Mercury on larger block accesses (64KB request size) • Throughput demanding streaming applications issue larger block requests Dot Hill Confidential (Restricted Access)

  4. Titanium Sequential Performance Titanium Sequence Performance • Titanium has good throughput performance with no command queue (QD = 1) • This dual host access profile has each streaming client issuing different geometry positions for a LUN Dot Hill Confidential (Restricted Access)

  5. Titanium Random Performance • Titanium similar to Mercury on random reads for apples to apples (96 drive) configuration • Titanium significantly out-performs Mercury on deep queued random write performance Dot Hill Confidential (Restricted Access)

  6. Titanium Random Performance • Titanium can deliver the higher random read transaction performance for 144 drives (IOpS 240/drive @ QD 8/drive) • Test case shown is a single dual port host issuing 512 queues per FC port • Titanium has a similar issue as seen in M110R19 with additional drives on deep queued small block writes Dot Hill Confidential (Restricted Access)
