  4. LPS Elementary Schools: • Meet Adequate Progress (AYP) • All teachers are highly qualified under No Child Left Behind Law (NCLB) • Meet NCA district accreditation • Provide ongoing professional development for teachers • Received “A” on State report card

  5. Curriculum • New textbook adoption in 2006 in the areas of English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies • Everyday Mathematics – University of Chicago Press • Specials include health, music, physical education, library, art, and Spanish

  6. Technology • Technology integrated across the curriculum • District and building websites • Computers and TV’s in every classroom • Broadcast systems • Distance learning lab • Email and internet • Automated telephone message system used for absences and special messages
