  1. How To Perform An Online Puja Over the past year, life as we once knew it has been greatly altered by the Coronavirus pandemic, and moving online has been the norm. From shopping to simply hanging out with our friends, every activity we ever did has had a digital makeover. With the pandemic now showing no signs of slowing down, it is increasingly apparent that digital services are only set to pick up in the foreseeable future. While pilgrimages such as Somnath Darshan has taken a hit last year, they are looking to be in demand this year. In the last year, we have also witnessed a lot of ritualistic events such as weddings take on an online avatar. Similarly, online puja services too have seen a spike, keeping in line with the trend. E-puja has now become the norm for any religious activity that has to be undertaken, with many simply opting to conduct them over Zoom and Skype, preferring to stay indoors rather than risking stepping out. There are several religious services portals that offer online puja as a solution at times like this. Customers are required to book a service pertaining to a specific puja and representatives from the portals arrange for the puja to be done and streamed online. There are primarily two ways of going about this exercise. In the first method, the customer is guided by a priest via skype and they do the puja at their place under the watchful eyes of the priest. In the second method, the priest performs the puja completely at the shrine and the customer can view the entire process via online streaming services. The portals typically tie up with several temples across the country to offer popular pilgrimages like Panchbhutha shiva temples, Kedarnath Darshan and more. Apart from general darshans and pujas, most of these portals also offer access to ‘remedy pujas’ that are done with a specific reason in mind upon the recommendation of a priest. For instance, these pujas include rituals like the Rudrabhishek, Sarpa Dosha puja, Navagraha Dosha Puja etc. The rudrabhishek puja in specific is considered to be one of the most auspicious ways to please Lord Shiva and solve problems of his devotees, by protecting them from negative energies and getting rid of diseases, among several other such benefits. In order to book one of these pujas or darshans, one has to log on to their preferred portal for online puja services. Once done, register as a member on the portal or enter as a guest. Click on the list of puja services provided and search for your preferred temple. Next, search for the puja services provided within the temple premises. Once done, you will typically be redirected to a payment gateway where you make the payment pertaining to the puja as well as the services charges for the online process. Upon confirmation of the booking, the processes of the puja and link to view it will be mailed to your email id or phone number. Finally, once the puja is completed on the specified date, the prasadam will be shipped to your address
