  3. The story of my search • I picked the topic of brain tumors because my cousin has a brain tumor and my uncle had a brain tumor that killed him so I wanted to learn how people get brain tumors.

  4. What I already know I already know that brain tumors can be removed by surgery and that they can be cancerous but if they are cancerous then they usually grow faster than noncancerous tumors because they can spread to more than just the brain. If the tumor is cancerous then they are usually more dangerous than noncancerous brain tumors because they can spread faster and can cause bleeding on the brain.

  5. My growth as a researcher • I learned how to use easy bib to cite my sources. • I also learned how to make a nonlinear PowerPoint. • I learned how to figure out if I can use an internet source by just looking to see if it has an auther.

  6. What do I want to discover I would like to know how brain tumors are made and how they can effect some of the daily activities people do every day. Why do people get headaches from brain tumors and why do they effect a lot of teens. How many teens get diagnosed with brain tumors each year. How many people die from brain tumors each year and how many of them were cancerous.

My search results • I found out that there are different grades of brain tumors from grade I to grade IV grade I being the safest and grade IV being the most dangerous. • There are usually two types of brain tumors one is Benign which is not cancerous and Malignant which is cancerous. • The main type of brain tumor is Glioma.

My search results • The most common among adults are astrocytoma, meningioma and, oligodendroglioma. • The most common among children are medulloblastoma, ependymomaand, brain stem Glioma. • There are usually about 8 different symptoms of brain tumors that will give you an idea about why you get them all the time. • MRI and PET scan are very helpful tools to help us see what is happening to our brains.

My search results • The 8 symptoms of brain tumors are the following headaches, nausea and vomiting, changes in speech, vision, or hearing, problems balancing or walking, changes in mood, personality, or ability to concentrate, problems with memory, muscle jerking or twitching and, numbness or tingling in the arms or legs. • There are 6 ways to be diagnosed with a brain tumor and they are the following neurologic exam, MRI, CT scan, angiogram, spinal tap and, a biopsy.
