  2. What is Online Gambling • Online Gambling consists of many things; from gambling on sporting events, playing poker, slot games, blackjack, roulette, and many other table games.

  3. Why Online Gambling is Currently Illegal? • Wire Act of 1961 • 2006 law

Benefits of Legalizing Online Gambling • Revenue from gambling sites being taxed going to the government • Numbers show over 10 years it could generate 42 Billion • The government would also be able to tax the winnings made by customers online. • Would make gambling safer and cut down on illegal gambling that fuels crime.

Rise in Demand of Gambling Throughout America - Pennsylvania and Delaware are considering adding table games to the casinos they currently - Colorado expanded casino hours, raised max bets, and promitted roulette - Missouri eliminated a river boat law that limited gambling losses to only 500 dollars.-

Cases of Online Gambling being Prosecuted • In June 2009, the U.S. Department of Justice seized over $34 million belonging to over 27,000 accounts to people who live in New York. • Then President Bush told all banks to not pay out or accept winnings from gambling sites. This has since been found tough to monitor.
