  2. 11th EIONET Workshop in La Rochelle: • 67 Participants • 33 Countries (30 of EEA, 3 of cooperating countries)

Scope of theworkshop • A primary objective of the EIONET workshops is to inform our national partners on running activities of EEA and ETC in a particular thematic area and to exchange views on planned activities. In 2007 in AQ area EEA together with ETC/ACC will: • continue in the development of the air data centre in accordance with the agreement between DG Env, JRC and ESTAT, focusing on collection, management, quality-assurance and web presentation of air emission and air quality data; • develop and implement procedures for quality checking and evaluation of AQ FWD questionnaires. Assessment will be grounded on GIS and AQ mapping, taking into account as much as possible all information on air quality assessment performed by countries; • improve the near-real time ozone data website, streamline with summer ozone exceedance reporting, and extend it as a key element of SEIS towards other air quality parameters; • assess urban air quality and transport on trends in air emissions and air quality. Main activities in AQ planed for 2007 are topics of this workshop
