  3. Patella is forced laterally due to a significant amount of force Knee may be swollen and painful X-rays need to be performed before and after reduction Patella Dislocation/Subluxation

  4. Caused by direct or indirect trauma Localized swelling Possible tear of quad tendon Confirm through x-ray Immobilized for 3-4 months Patella Fracture

  5. Medial has a higher incidence of injury MOI: WB with rotational force Outer third may heal due to some blood supply Joint line pain Popping and catching sensation Mensical Lesions

  6. Overuse condition Could be due to leg length discrepancy Common among Joggers Distance runners cyclists Irritation is at insertions Use ice and rest Sometimes avoidance of activities is necessary IT Band Friction Syndrome
