  3. What about words? How do leaflets and posters use language (words) to get their point of view across?

  4. Tasks: • What sort of words would you expect to see on a factsheet warning about the dangers of smoking? Give examples! • What sort of words would you see on a global warming information sheet? Give examples! • What sort of words would you see on a brochure advertising a holiday in Spain? Give examples! • What sort of words would you see on a booklet encouraging young people to do more exercise? Give examples!
