  1. Year 6 Parent’s Meeting 26th March 2015 Please ensure you have signed your attendance and taken a CPG Mental Maths booklet for your child

  2. SATs- 11th-14th May Reading and Maths both nationally assessed, Levels 3-5. 4b national average. Writing is Teacher Assessed in June, taking into account the Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG) ability of the pupil. Assessed SPAG scores will still be given seperately There is NO science SAT test

  4. How we will be supporting your child • Mock SATs week beginning 27th April • Children who have had support throughout the year will have this during test conditions (in accordance with DfE guidelines) • Calm, atmosphere before and after exams • Plenty of fresh air and treats to keep the children going! • Staff support

  5. How you can support your child • Reading • Checking homework and signing it • Arrive in good time with the children in a calm state of mind • Snacks/drinks for the day • Early nights

  6. Work over Easter • Important children have a break and a rest (but!) equally crucial they are still preparing for the tests. • Quiet Space on a desk • Fluids • Occasional snack e.g. biscuit • Healthy diet • Focus: either time or outcome based • Spread homework out over the two weeks

  7. Homework over Easter • Complete CPG mental maths book • Complete CPG Reading, Punctuation, Grammar, Spelling and Math workbooks. • Continuing to read daily • Quest of 9 • Ten 4 Ten maths Mathletics/Mymaths/Education City logins

  8. Online Safety • PEGI rating games • Social networking sites • Older siblings letting younger siblings play inappropriate games • Parent’s Meeting for online safety led by Dave Holland
