  2. iCamp | Who was there? • Principal at MS 381 in Brooklyn • Had never heard the term social innovation before iCamp; now realizes that “everything should go hand in hand,” including ‘community innovation and educational innovation’. • Impressed with Bryan Boyer and the 4.0 Schools presentation. • Has been a principal for 13 years; iCamp was the first time she’s been able to connect with other founding principals of small schools. Invited Guests 4.0 Schools • Tech coordinator at Phoenix House Academy. • Thought that social innovation was mainly about making the classroom relevant to the real-world and he still thinks so today. To him, it’s all about what happens in the classroom. • Knew that UCD had to do with keeping the end user in mind; today he would add that it’s about empathy, too. • Was very impressed by the unconference. Gain an understanding of social innovation as a movement and the belief that they are part of that movement. • Acquire new skills and strategies in UCD processes and an appreciation for how the process can help problem-solve iCamp | Our Impact 88% 88% 90% 88% • Make new peer connections and relationships, and build trust in one another as partners in innovation work.
