  2. Winch dyeing machines comes with the lucrative options of low cost design, simplicity in operation and maintenance yet uncompromising features when it comes to versatility. Mostly woollen and silk fabrics are dyed by using Winch Dyeing machine. The dyeing machine derives its name "Winch" as the fabric rope gets circulated in the machine by way of a mechanical action of a horizontal rotor or reel, called as a winch or sometimes wince. The cross‐section of the winch rotor may be circular or elliptical. The winch dyeing machine has a front compartment, a perforated partition separates it from the main dyeing chamber. It is this front compartment where dyestuff and dyeing auxiliary additions are made. Gradually they move to main dyeing vessel from there. The process works like this first a series of fabric ropes are immersed in the dye bath. This fabric ropes must be of equal lengths. A part of each rope is then taken over two reels or over the winch itself. In the subsequent course of dyeing operation a rope of fabric is circulated through the dye bath and the winch. The dyestuff and auxiliaries are dosed manually or automatically according to the recipe method.

  4. The development of Winch Dyeing Machine, which is widely appreciated for its easy operations, application specific design and long lasting service life. This user‐friendly device is easy to install and has durable finish standards. The body of the machine is fabricated from premium quality Stainless Steel‐304 grade. Features: • Water inlet and out let valve • Direct steam coil made of perforated pipe • Machine body made of SS sheets 304 quality • Complete nipple with electric motor standard company • Big Roller made of SS or pipe and small roller made of SS pipe

  5. Working Principle of Winch dyeing machine: Winch Dyeing machines are most suitable for knit fabric dyeing. Here fabric is dyed in tubular from where fabric runs in endless circular path. Inside the m/c the upper part of the fabric runs through a nozzle & the lower part is immersed into liquor, in the nozzle the liquor is sprayed onto the fabric. The fabric and liquor both circulated by a high pressure pump. liquor from the bottom of the vessel & passed this liquor through the heat exchanger to the top of vessel into the Nozzle. The winch roller or the reel also helps running the fabric smoothly. The liquor gets heated or cooled by exchanging temperature in the heat-exchanger. The main pump draws the Fig: cross-sectional diagram showing fabric path & nozzle in the high pressure winch d/m

  6. 1. Construction and operation of winch are very simple. 2. Easy to enter and easy to operate and let out of the fabric of the m/c. 3. Suitable for dyeing of knitted fabric. 4. The appearance of the dyed goods is clean and smooth on winch dyeing machines. 5. Knitted fabric is not damage due to low tension.

  7. 1. Difficult to maintain uniform temperature. 2. Due to high liquor ratio (1:40) product cost is high. 3. Uneven dyeing due to folding. 4. Discontinuous process. 5. More fabric can’t be dyed.

  8. •Capacity per nozzle : theoretically 250 kg but practically not more than 200 kg should be used. •Nozzle pressure : 4-6 psi •Steam pressure: 7 bar (inlet of heat exchanger) •Cold water temp. & pressure : 25 c & 3 bar •Maximum temp. : 140 for high temp. M/c 100 for atmospheric •Reel/Winch speed : 150-250 rpm •Main motor efficiency : 80-85% [Loading Capacity]
