  5. Curriculum Challenge Launch!The Task Your challenge is to convince the Drama Department that YOUR show choice is the one they will direct this year. This involves: Researching the show, becoming familiar with the characters, the story line and the musical numbers. Consider carefully: • How it should be staged? • What costumes and props are needed? • How many cast members will there be? • How much rehearsal time will be needed? .

  6. Curriculum Challenge ProgressSuccess Criteria Idea mapping, research and planning should be shown in your scrapbook. Your final, proposal should be forwarded to Miss O’Brien for consideration. Feeling Creative? Make a large scale model of your stage ideas.

  7. Design Your Set You have 10 large stage flats (backdrops) to design. What will they look like? You have 15 black stage levels to position. Where will they go?
