  1. What is Mac Malware, how it penetrates your device and how to get rid of it I would like to share my experience with you and talk about viruses made for Mac devices and how to deal with them. You can say that Macs are not viruses because Apple does not allow it. However, I can say that there are many dangerous malware types in your browser to open new tabs, which redirect you to irrelevant pages and show many popups. Yes, these are not real viruses. Adware such as search marquis cannot clone itself and infect other connected devices. It cannot encrypt your files or cause any other damage. Its activity is only related to web redirects and excessive advertising. At the same time, who knows which rogue websites adware can land you next time. It may happen that you end up on a phishing website where cyber crooks harvest personal information leading to identity theft. Fake antivirus I strongly recommend removing all adware that enters your device. But there is a problem here. If you want to get rid of Mac adware, you can't find a solution quickly. If you go to Google and search there how to get rid of Mac malware, you will see that all the top results offer you to buy and install some shady software. In fact, these Mac antivirus do nothing, as we know that the Apple ecosystem does not allow applications to access the data of other applications. No antivirus can actually scan and examine your files. How to remove mac malware Solution 1: If your system is infected with adware and you don't know how to get rid of it, you can try calling Apple and asking what to do. You can find their phone number here: support.apple.com/en- gb/HT201232#us-ca Solution 2: Another option is to try your luck at Apple communities. Thousands of tech enthusiasts use it with their problems there. Here is a sample formula: discussions.apple.com/thread/8226644. Solution 3: There are other options. The Apple operating system is not very difficult to use, and anyone can remove adware manually through a step-by-step guide posted on several malware removal websites. Here is a guide by BitAdvisors.com on how to remove search malicious malware. Most rogue software works by exploiting bugs and vulnerabilities in your computer's operating system. And macOS also has its own bugs. To correct these weaknesses, Apple periodically issues operating system updates. To date, macOS has not proved attractive enough for cybercriminals and rogue developers to flood it with malware.

  2. Safety tips To stay away from any surprises, it is recommended to update your OS as well as all the apps installed on a regular basis. You should never install an app from the unauthorized App Store controlled by Apple. One of the ways for Adware to sneak into your Mac computer is through bundled installs. You download and install very useful apps which is often free, but in fact, you get many apps. People never read user agreements written in small print. There it may be noted that you agree to install additional equipment and grant them certain rights. Whenever you install something, be careful and read user agreements, and do not miss additional unnecessary software. Do not install any software without the necessary requirement. Any additional software widens the attack surface. To be able to do bad things, current Mac malware requires users to perform certain tasks - granting rights. Therefore, be careful of allowing any app to access your data, change settings, etc. Another wise trick is to create a backup. iCloud or simple flash drive will help you not to lose your data in case of system glitch or malware attack. Final advice - use a VPN. Your connection will be encrypted, and attackers will not be able to find exactly where you are located or what data is in your traffic.
