1. HOW HAVE SHOES CHANGED IN THE LAST 30 YEARS? We have all heard about the division into generations. Generation X is said to include those born between 1961 and 1980, that millennials (or Generation Y) were the first to internalize the codes of digital communication, and that zoomers (or Generation Z) are the first digital natives and who learn to use various technological devices from an early age. But now we are also talking about the Alpha generation, or the children of millennials . It is clear that our society has changed over the years and with the new generations. But what happened to footwear fashion? Have our tastes changed also with regard to the choice of sports shoes? Or rather: how have the designs of the brands adapted to the various generations? At Shopbelart we wanted to take a dip in the past to investigate the evolution of sports shoes. We have made a comparison between the sneakers designs of 25, 30 or 40 years ago and between the recent new versions of the OG models . The most interesting aspect will be to see the change in aesthetics, materials and technology used following the fashion of each generation. We will talk about classic sneakers that have simply renewed their original silhouette, but also about new models that have taken classic designs only as inspiration and as a starting point. 2. Nike Air Max 90 (1990) vs Nike Air Max 2090 (2020) 2020 was the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90 . It was indeed the perfect time to present the new Nike Air Max 2090 as a tribute to the classic model. Like : "what would the Air Max 90 have been like if they were released in 2020?" . The strong point of these sneakers is the union between past and future in fact they retain elements of the original model adding a futuristic touch, leitmotiv in the new silhouettes of the American brand. If we focus on the details we notice that the upper of the 2090 is simpler and more linear, with fewer inserts but with a translucent effect. The Air unit in the heel is larger to increase the cushioning result and the new heel tab makes these sneakers easier to put on. In conclusion, we can say that the design of the nike sacaiAir Max 90 of the Millennial generation is more robust, solid and rich in details while the version of the Alpha generation focuses on technology, comfort and simplicity.
